Dive deeper into transparency, precision, and color interaction in Fused Glass Academy 203: Intermediate Fusing: Exploring Transparency Through Circles. This intermediate workshop builds on foundational skills while introducing techniques for hand-cutting and grinding glass circles to achieve clean, intentional shapes for layering. You’ll stack colored transparent glass to create depth, movement, and luminous color blends while focusing on clean edges and balanced composition, using a limited palette to design and assemble one round fused glass artwork inspired by bold circular forms.

Prerequisites Required

Students must have completed:

• Fused Glass Academy 101 – Intro to Fused Glass Basics

This ensures you are confident with cutting, layering fundamentals, and foundational firing concepts so we can focus on advanced fabrication and design development.

Class Details

• Learn circle cutting, grinding techniques, and advanced transparent layering
• A Table Stand or Yard Art Stand will be available for purchase for an additional fee
• Finished project will be one circular fused glass artwork, approximately 12 inches round
• Duration: 4 hours
• All supplies included
• Finished artwork will be kiln-fired after class
• Ages 16+
  
• Closed-toe shoes required
• Skill level: Intermediate 
• Ready for pickup approximately 7–10 days after class
